About the Links

The following are links to places that I have found very useful in
my pursuit of the various modalities I work with.  They are in no
particular order, but I have tried to provide a brief synopsis of
what each has provided for me in the way of information,
inspiration, and in some cases, even training.
International Institute of Medical Qigong
http://www.qigongmedicine.com
This is the home page of my most recent and respected teacher.  There is not
much actual Qigong information on the site, but the books and videos are the
best source of Medical Qigong information I have found anywhere.  Dr. Johnson
is one of the ranking Grand Masters of Medical Qigong in the western world.  In
addition to studying with him, I have his book and all of his Medical Qigong
videos.  They are all top notch.

Qigong and Tai Chi Videos and Documents
http://www.taoisthealing.com
This site has a great collection of streaming video and many papers written on
Qigong and Tai Chi techniques, demonstrations, and procedures.  You could
spend all day here and not see it all.  The streaming video on breast cancer
treatment using Medical Qigong is extremely good for learning the Chinese
persepective on the causes of all cancers.  Highly recommended.

National Qigong Association
http://www.nqa.org
This site offers a good introduction to the practice of Qigong.  You can also get a
nice little introductory tape that explains some of the basic principles of Qigong.
They ask for a small donation for the tape, but it is definitely worth it.  Also has a
good list of teachers around the country.

Chi-Lel Qigong Home Page
http://www.chilel.com
This site contains a lot of provocative information.  I have only taken one Chi-Lel
workshop, but I was impressed.  I have two videos and several audio tapes that I
use frequently.  The procedures are best when practiced by a dedicated
practitioner who means to stay with it.  This is a good site with a lot of information
for the person seeking to regain lost health or prevent future health problems.
Very action oriented and short on theory.

Energy Arts by B. K. Frantzis
http://www.energyarts.com
This site is a good resource for books and videos on Daoist Qigong.  I have read
several of the books and have used several of the videos to help me pin down
the mechanics of Qigong in greater detail.

Healing Touch
http://www.healingtouch.net
A good place to learn more about Healing Touch.  This site contains a lot of
information about the ethics and practice of Healing Touch, founded by Janet
Mentgen.  Healing Touch is one of the few energy modalities that has a
comprehensive certification process that conforms to standards acceptable to
the nursing profession.  A good place to find the name of a Certified Practitioner
near your home.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)
http://www.emofree.com/a/?2530
If you have been in my classes you have likely seen this technique used
effectively to reduce pain or emotional trauma.  Use the above link to learn more.
In addition to providing a lot of documentation on how to use the techniques I
teach, you can download a free beginners manual that provides everything you
need to know to get started.   This stuff really works.  Read the manual first (a
free download), then try it on at least three of your own traumas before you
judge.  Try it on everything.  I use it on myself regularly, and I use the techniques
on clients with at least an 85-90 percent success rate in lowering or eliminating
physical and emotional trauma.  The video sets are rich with live examples in a
non-staged setting.  This site can change your life if you don't let skepticism
keep you from trying it.  If you are not ready to invest in the DVDs then use the
following link for a free EFT starter kit:
http://www.emofree.com/a/?2530/1.  If you are already convinced and are eager
to learn more, you can select any of several extremely effective and attractively
priced DVD sets of actual seminars teaching the use of EFT at:
http://www.emofree.com/a/?2530/2.

Qigong and Tai Chi (best source of information and
scientific support on the web)
http://www.worldtaichiday.org
This site offers a wealth of information on both Qigong and Tai Chi.  There are
many articles and other interesting things to see and do.  It also has one of the
most extensive databases of scientific research on Tai Chi and Qigong available
on the web.

http://worldtaichiday.org/WTCQDHlthBenft.html
This link is the research section of the above site.  You can look up specific
illnesses and conditions to find what scientific or medical research is available
about the effectiveness of Qigong or Tai Chi on these conditions.

A Good Source of Additional Information on Qigong
http://www.healingenergetics.com
This site is provided by Chris Axelrad, a Qigong Master that really has a lot to
offer his students.  He provides many public classes and does great healing
work. His newsletter is very good, also.
